Lincoln Agritech signs MOU with Ministry of Agriculture, China

Lincoln Agritech’s CEO, Peter Barrowclough, travelled to China to sign the “Sino-NZ Technical Cooperation on Water-Saving Agriculture” agreement.

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) formally recognises the partnership between the Chinese government department and Lincoln Agritech. This formal occasion was attended and supported by Chinese senior level officials including: Mr Chen Shengdou, Director General of the National Agro-Technical Extension and Service Centre (NATESC) from the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture; Liam Corkery, the NZ Trade Commissioner (Beijing); and David Allen from the NZ Ministry of Primary Industries (Beijing).

In the upcoming months, Lincoln Agritech will be working closely with NATESC to provide advice on irrigation, soil moisture monitoring and fertigation. NATESC holds national workshops showcasing the latest agricultural technology. Lincoln Agritech has attended two of these workshops and demonstrated the benefits of using Lincoln Agritech’s irrigation design software package, IRRICAD. NATESC has 3,000 field demonstration sites throughout China and 310,000 extension staff.
