Patrick is an experienced Hydrogeologist and Modeller who has worked in both local government and private consultancy sectors.

Initially beginning his career at Beca Infrastructure conducting fieldwork and site characterisation around New Zealand, Patrick moved to work at Environment Canterbury (ECan) where he worked as a Hydrologist for close to ten years. At ECan, Patrick specialised in groundwater resource studies and integrated catchment modelling. From 2018-2019, Patrick worked as a Groundwater and Surface Water Modeller at the Danish Hydraulic Institute (DHI) whilst simultaneously completing his Masters in Science degree majoring in Water Resource Management.

At Lincoln Agritech, Patrick will be working on two Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) government funded science programmes, the Critical Pathways Programme and the Braided Rivers Programme. 

Patrick has passion for research and has extensive experience in:

  • Analytical and numerical modelling of surface water and groundwater resources
  • Integrated water resource modelling
  • Managed aquifer recharge studies
  • Hydrogeological site investigations
