Claire has an MSci degree from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, specialising in applied chemistry. Claire worked for numerous United Kingdom companies including Alphasense Ltd, where she developed electrochemical amperometric gas sensors; the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency; and quality control laboratories at Charles River Laboratories and Piramal Healthcare in Grangemouth.
In 2009, Claire immigrated to New Zealand and joined Lincoln Agritech’s Biotechnology Team where she helped develop a range of biosensors. She has since moved research groups and now works on developing novel compounds with Lincoln Agritech’s New Materials Team.
Claire is currently working part-time and studying part-time and has recently embarked on a Diploma in Cosmetic Science with the UK Society of Cosmetic Scientists.
